Biography of Jörg Anke

Jörg Kurt Anke was born on October 27,1944 in Rathenow. His father Kurt Heinz Anke was a commercial employee and his mother Liesbeth Anna Gertrud Anke,née Thiele, was a commercial employee as well. As his father ran the National Insurance in Groß-Behnitz; the family lived there from 1946 to 1949. The family moved back to Rathenow in 1949; at first they lived at Philipp-Müller- Street 3 ( today's Ferdinand- Lassalle-Street ) and later at Duncker square 16.

From 1951 to 1959 Jörg Anke attended the Sibling-Scholl-Primary School up to the 8th form. In 1959 he was confirmed by Superintendent Georg Heimerdinger in the Sankt- Marien- Andreas Church in Rathenow. From 1959 to 1963 he attended the grammer school " Karl Marx" in Rathenow where he took his A levels in 1963. From 1963 to 1964 he successfully completed his training as a bricklayer and moved to Berlin in 1964.  From 1964 to 1967 he studied at the College for the Construction Industry in Berlin where he received the final qualification as a graduate engineer.

On October 28, 1967 he married Brigitte Rink in Berlin.

From 1967 to 1971 he worked as a constructor in an engineering group of a property company building houses.

In 1969 his son,Sirko, was born.

From1971 to 1974 Jörg Anke worked as a building site manager of an investment firm and as an engineer for drawing up plans for constructions at the Secura Works Berlin.From 1975 to 1977 he took on the works as a structural engineer of drawing up office of a food concern and combine Narva Berlin.

From 1978 to 1981 Jörg Anke worked as an engineer of properties with the key account in the construction of transportation facilities in Berlin, and from 1981 to 1984 he worked as a leading building manager and as a head of the Department of the Local Administration of the local housing industry in Berlin-Marzahn. >From 1984 to 1990 Jörg Anke was an engineer of properties and department head with the key account in the constuction facilities in Berlin, and in 1991 he worked as an engineer for drawing up the construction plans in the architect's office of Dr Krüger. Since 1992 Jörg Anke has worked freelance and has run his own engineering office.

His hobbies are gardening, travelling and his family as well as doing construction work at home. His two grandchildren make him and his wife happy.

On March 3, 2004 he joined the support group to rebuild Sankt-Marien- Andreas- Church in Rathenow.
